Clinical Supervision & Reflective Practice

Dr Fiona Seth-Smith is an experienced supervisor of Psychology Trainees, Medical Trainees and other mental health professionals. She currently offers supervision to several lead perinatal Clinical & Counselling Psychologists working in the NHS and in the Private Sector. She also runs reflective practice groups for Perinatal Mental Health Services across England and supervision for specialist perinatal IAPT teams. Her approach is consistent with her integrative theoretical orientation with a dedication to supporting practitioners to provide the best possible service and therapy which is tailored to each individual’s needs. She has a strong and longstanding interest in Infant Mental Health. Her approaches are all informed by trauma focussed and systemic paradigms, she is accredited in CBT and EMDR.

Teaching & Training

Fiona is a visiting lecturer in Perinatal Psychology for the Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.

She also provides training in Complex Trauma and Personality Disorder in Perinatal Mental Health to Perinatal Clinical and Counselling psychologists via the British Psychological Society’s Faculty of Perinatal Psychologists and the Universities of Liverpool and Exeter.
